The National Parks: America's Best Idea "Going Home (1920-1933)"

Sunday, November 8 at 8:00pm on Channel 12 & 12.1

In this edition, America embraces the automobile, allowing more people more people than ever before to visit the parks; a campaign is launched to protect virgin forest in the Smoky Mountains; and in Wyoming, John D. Rockefeller Jr. begins quietly buying up land in the Tetons in a secret plan to donate it to the government as a park.
