So, on the eve (nearly) of black history month, Dani forgives comments made by Sen. Harry Reid (light skinned black with almost no negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one) regarding the electability of President Obama. Her reasoning - he was right! So let me see if I have this straight, Harry Reid says Obama can be elected because he is not that black? And Dani says thats okay because he is right? So Dani believes a "blacker" person couldn't win the Presidency? What is Dani saying - that America is too racist for that? So there is racism entrenched in Dani and Harrys thinking, Dani and Harry say that we are too redneck and stupid too look past skin color, too bad Dani and Harry can't. Just like Chris Matthews during the SOTU speech. He speaks so well I "almost forgot he was black for an hour". I suppose that is okay too, huh. Because what Matthews really said was, Black people usually don't speak very well. But that isn't racism is it Dani? Nope it's all of us unenlightened nascar types. We are the racists, just keep saying it enough, it might make it true.

Not only do I love Dani and Patti and Craig and all the old timers and my new acquaintences (been watching you ever since cable came to Georgetown in the middle 80's.) You all are my weekly "religious hour", perfect attendence unless I'm gone. And then Dani's favorite of the week was memorializing Howard Zinn.
