Dani Newsum - Ignorance re: White House attack on Fox NewsPosted: October 27, 2009
by Tom Smith
Program: Colorado Inside Out
I am a 48 year old Independent who voted for Obama, and who has yet to vote for a Republican for President. But the stupidity of the Obama White House in attacking FoxNews is pushing me--and other independents, to lose significant respect for the Obama administration. Their behavior on this issue is reprehensible. MSNBC is filled with liberal lunatics. FoxNews is no more partisan than MSNBC. But Obama has to admonish Fox? What country am I living in? What happened to freedom of the press? If they are going to condemn one network for their over-the-top partisanship, let's be fair and condemn them all. Dani Newsum just doesn't get it. Her rebuke of Eric Sondermann's legitimate concern about the Obama administration's childish, partisan attempt at censorship demonstrates the arrogance and ignorance that leftists have regarding this administration's performance to date.
It will be back to a Republican Presidency in 2012 and dopes like Newsum will have no one to blame but themselves.
Additional Casino drinking hoursPosted: October 23, 2009
by Regina Quackenbush
Program: Colorado Inside Out
Dani Newsom needs to tour the parking lots at and near the casinos prior to the cleaning staff getting there! The quantity of discarded alcohol bottles is astounding! This problem occured after the move to 24-hour gambling. The drinkers who also gamble figured out quickly that when they are cut off from the free, albeit monitored, booze, all they have to do is go to their car and gulp some of their own, then go back in and resume gambling. Rather than risk an "open-container" bust, they empty the last swigs (or gulps!) down their throat, discard the bottle right there, and drive down the canyon even drunker than they would be if they had been under the pretty watchful eyes of the casino bar-staff. And since the punishment for the casino and the staff is pretty severe if they give the gambler too much booze, we, the public, are safer with their monitoring than if the drunk is even drunker due to last minute, in-car, consumption!
The problem is the drunk, not the possible move to 24-hour bars.
David SirotaPosted: August 22, 2009

Thank-you! thank-you! thank-you! David Sirota for putting David Koppel in his well-deserved place Friday, Aug. 21 concerning Mr. Koppel's comments about health care reform. I find it so refreshing when some one calls the Independence Institute commentators on their "canards" and "nonsense" that they just keep repeating over and over, hoping that the ill-informed will buy their malarky. Mr. Sirota, you made my night!
