David Kopel

Dave Kopel is Research Director of the Independence Institute, a think tank in Golden, Colorado. He is also a media columnist for the Rocky Mountain News, an Associate Policy Analyst with the Cato Institute, and a blogger for The Volokh Conspiracy (Volokh.com).

Kopel is the author of ten books and dozens of academic journal articles on topics including the Second Amendment, antitrust, environmental law, computer law, civil liberties, criminal justice, terrorism, genocide, international affairs, religion, and history.
