Sherri Vasquez

Sherri Vasquez, host and producer of LATIN VIEW, has more than a dozen years experience in the news business. She has held reporting and editing positions with the Rocky Mountain News, The Coloradoan in Fort Collins, the bilingual weekly La Voz Hispana de Colorado, The Boulder Courant and The Westminster Window.

Vasquez won the 1992 Positive Images Award presented by the Colorado Hispanic Media Association, and CHMA’s 1993 Positive Images Award for Editorial Excellence.

International experience includes undergraduate studies at the University of Seville in Spain and positions with Spain’s official wire service La Agencia EFE and The New York Times bureau in Madrid. Vasquez earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Colorado-Boulder and a master’s degree in applied communication from the University of Denver.
