Give a gift like no other - become a KBDI volunteer! Some of the most important support given to KBDI has nothing to do with money. Instead, it is comprised of the hours of dedication and energy supplied by KBDI volunteers. We understand that everyone has something unique to contribute and we offer a variety of ways you can assist. Whether you like working with people or paper, being seated or active, serving flexible or fixed hours, KBDI has a place for you. Experience is not necessary to volunteer - just enthusiasm. We will provide training in exchange for your time and commitment. Volunteering your time is a great way to meet new people, gain valuable job experience and have some community-spirited fun! Opportunities include:

KBDI would like to thank Joan Bolduc for giving generously of her time and talents! Joan is originally from Detroit, but has made Denver her home for 23 years. She operates her own home-based business making designer pet bowls under the name ART ITSELF! Her dishes have been featured in films and in television shows, and have been sold around the world. Joan has a BFA in painting and a MFA in printmaking. After spending two years in the Peace Corps she became an avid dog lover! Buffy, an eight-year-old collie mix, and Buddy (pictured with Joan below) a three-year-old English Bulldog help her market the business.
