Disrespecting 9-11 Victim's families & 9-11 Press for Truth
Posted: November 16, 2009 by Name Withheld
Program: Colorado Inside Out
Dear Mr. Kopel with Colorado Inside Out, I took offense to your statement about the people who maliciously accuse President Bush of being part of a treasonous activity in 9-11. President Bush is suspected of having an ulterior motive for Invading Iraq and having a secret connection to the 9-11 event. Perhaps the connection is not treasonous, but there have been far too many questions that went purposefully unanswered by him and his administration. The families of 9-11 looked to the President to give details that would help alleviate any suspicions they had, but instead he gave everyone who involved in the task of investigating and researching the situation cause for believing he was hiding information. I think it is more disrespectful to those families of the victims that were killed in the 9-11 event to suggest that they are either not very intelligent or that they have an ulterior motive. They worked long and hard with the President to have a real investigation and at the end of the short time and money he allotted for them to pursue an investigation they believed he had covered up much of the information that would have revealed evidence. There are 80,000 citizens who believe the Bush administration have something to hide and need to be investigated. Now President Obama is covering information up. How can the Guantanamo Bay victims have a fair trial if both Presidents say they do not have to reveal what they don’t want because of State Secrets? Countries around the world see the false claim in these situations; but for some reason you haven’t. The Canadian government cared enough for it’s, Mr. Arar, that they admitted their wrong doing and apologized. The US simply calls Mr. Arar a bad guy or a terrorist and would be tortured and incarcerated in our country. It appalls me that you should speak so disrespectfully about the families and citizens of where the 9-11 actually took place. Did you watch the movie the families made? I would think for sure if people are going to speak about 9-11, the president or anything that is connected to this issue, you should respect these families enough to watch the movie and accept their onions. As far as who made money on these two events, we don’t know everything. We don’t know because of state secrets, the Bush Administration would not divulge the information as to who bet on the airline’s business completely dropping off. We don’t know what happened to most of Iraq’s money. They had one of the best healthcare systems (including hospital facilities) in the world, and now they have a system and facilities that are equal to a third world country. We know that the representative that was helping Iraq to form their new government system also lobbied for the oil not to be controlled by the country and he himself worked for DNO and received 100 million dollars worth of interest in oil. I have not had the time to research & probably do not have the means to research if the US oil companies are complicit in this endeavor, but I would like it if you could prove the Bush administration did not receive money or options for their oil.; especially considering that both the President and the Vice President have been connected to the oil industry. Another person in his administration made a lot of money on the drug Tammerin, since the President said that the country needed enough of this medication to vaccinate every person in the US. One of the person’s in the cabinet who had a financial connection to the drug Tammerin did make money. You should know who this is. There are a myriad of details that can be looked at and yet a full investigation with the families able to require the documents to answer these questions has never been allowed. The idea that the president decides who is on the investigation panel and when it ends is a distortion of justice. Our Supreme Courts should hold this investigation to the satisfaction of the victim’s families. Most of the 1,000’s of people tortured, were tortured to confess they were part of 9-11; when there is proof in many instances that many of the people kidnapped & tortured were not involved with 9-11. Certainly, the President is guilty of covering up General Dostum killing thousands of men, of his administration’s part in kidnapping, torture and even murder in the prisons (Mr. Arar from Canada, the man from Egypt, the murder in Bagram Prison), arresting & demonizing innocent people in Guantanamo, who after having been tortured have been released. Sincerely, A Concerned Citizen
Dani Newsum - Ignorance re: White House attack on Fox News
Posted: October 27, 2009 by Tom Smith
Program: Colorado Inside Out
I am a 48 year old Independent who voted for Obama, and who has yet to vote for a Republican for President. But the stupidity of the Obama White House in attacking FoxNews is pushing me--and other independents, to lose significant respect for the Obama administration. Their behavior on this issue is reprehensible. MSNBC is filled with liberal lunatics. FoxNews is no more partisan than MSNBC. But Obama has to admonish Fox? What country am I living in? What happened to freedom of the press? If they are going to condemn one network for their over-the-top partisanship, let's be fair and condemn them all. Dani Newsum just doesn't get it. Her rebuke of Eric Sondermann's legitimate concern about the Obama administration's childish, partisan attempt at censorship demonstrates the arrogance and ignorance that leftists have regarding this administration's performance to date. It will be back to a Republican Presidency in 2012 and dopes like Newsum will have no one to blame but themselves.
Additional Casino drinking hours
Posted: October 23, 2009 by Regina Quackenbush
Program: Colorado Inside Out
Dani Newsom needs to tour the parking lots at and near the casinos prior to the cleaning staff getting there! The quantity of discarded alcohol bottles is astounding! This problem occured after the move to 24-hour gambling. The drinkers who also gamble figured out quickly that when they are cut off from the free, albeit monitored, booze, all they have to do is go to their car and gulp some of their own, then go back in and resume gambling. Rather than risk an "open-container" bust, they empty the last swigs (or gulps!) down their throat, discard the bottle right there, and drive down the canyon even drunker than they would be if they had been under the pretty watchful eyes of the casino bar-staff. And since the punishment for the casino and the staff is pretty severe if they give the gambler too much booze, we, the public, are safer with their monitoring than if the drunk is even drunker due to last minute, in-car, consumption! The problem is the drunk, not the possible move to 24-hour bars.
